I tried making a simple bracelet for my daughter yesterday. Like learning English, it will take a lot of practice to be good at it, so I’m taking some time to work on it and help myself get better.

My daughter and I watched Pirates of the Caribbean a couple of days ago and what better way to get creative than by making a Pirates’ Treasure Map. Later, we had a brief search around the flat and found … my son’s toy car!

Consumerism

My Senior class has just finished a lesson on Consumerism and I was pleasantly surprised by how sophisticated their ideas were. They will be doing a project toward the end of the course and I am very much looking forward to watching their presentation. I am sure I will be so proud of them, if I am not already!

I have been ill for the last few days, coughing incessantly and making everyone around me uncomfortable. It is that time of year when the weather changes and my seasonal allergies come back. The doctor has told me to rest so I apologise to my students who are wondering why I haven’t been coming to class. I hope you are all still working hard without me!
